  1. A restricted cubic spline model with three knots was performed to explore the non-linear association between uric acid and thyroid nodules. Variables in this model included uric acid per 100 mmol/L (restricted cubic spline), age, sex, body mass index, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, uric acid, fasting blood sugar, triglyceride, cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein, high-density lipoprotein, white blood cell, neutrophil, lymphocyte, monocyte, alanine transaminase, aspartate aminotransferase, total bilirubin, creatinine, and follow-up time.
