Echocardiographic assessment of LV systolic function in Wt and Hif1a +/- mice. (A) The exposure to the diabetic environment resulted in a significant decrease of LV fractional shortening (FS) in Hif1a +/- mice but not in Wt animals. The values are mean ± SEM, statistical significance by 2-way ANOVA with Tukey’s multiple-comparison test, *P < 0.05, diabetic Hif1a +/- vs. Wt and Hif1a +/- non-diabetics.
