  1. t-test was done for parametric variables (Total Cholesterol, LDL,HDL,Triglycerides, alkaline phosphatase)
  2. Mann-Whitney test was done for non-parametric variables (Bilirubin, SGOT<SGPT,Albumin, Globulin,creatinine, 25(OH)vitamin D)
  3. Diabetic subjects have higher mean Alkaline phosphatase (ALP),Serum Glutamate oxaloacetate transferase (SGOT), Serum Glutamate Pyruvate Transferase (SGPT) and lower 25(OH) vitamin D, but better mean lipid parameters as compared to controls
