The plasma NO、VEGF and GM-CSF levels in the four groups. a The plasma NO level in normotensive premenopausal women without diabetes mellitus was almost equal to that prehypertensive premenopausal women without diabetes mellitus. Compared with normotensive or prehypertensive premenopausal women without diabetes mellitus, the plasma NO level in normotensive or prehypertensive women with diabetes mellitus decreased. No significant difference was found in plasma VEGF b or GM-CSF c level among the four groups. Data are given as mean ± SD (*vs normotension; # vs without DM, n = 20 for each group)
